How payment
works
Short version: a deposit for materials, the balance when you have walked the floor and are happy with it. No financing products, no pressure, no fine print.
The payment structure
- 01
Site visit and quote, free
Measurement, slab inspection and a moisture reading, at no cost and with no obligation. You receive a written fixed-price quote with the specification on it.
- 02
Deposit on acceptance, materials only
Resin, flake or aggregate, and topcoat are ordered to your specific colour and system, so they cannot be returned or reused. The deposit covers exactly that, and the amount is stated on the quote.
- 03
Work proceeds. No further payment
Nothing is due during the install. If anything genuinely unforeseeable turns up, we stop and talk to you before doing anything that costs money.
- 04
Walkthrough, then balance
We walk the finished floor with you and hand over the maintenance sheet and product data. The balance is due after that, not before you have seen what you paid for.
If you need to spread the cost
We do not sell a financing product, and we would rather tell you what actually works than take a referral fee for pointing you at something that does not.
A home line of credit usually wins
Contractor-arranged financing is typically a third-party lender paying the contractor a referral commission, funded by your rate. A HELOC or existing line of credit will almost always beat it. That is not advice about your finances, it is just how the products are structured.
Phasing the work is real, and interest-free
Garage now, basement next year. It costs slightly more per square foot overall because mobilisation happens twice, but there is no interest and no credit application. We will quote both scenarios so you can see the actual difference rather than guess at it.
Spec down, not prep down
If the budget is tight, the place to save is the finish, never the preparation. Solid colour instead of metallic, flake instead of quartz, a smaller area done properly instead of a large area done thin. Cutting the grind or the topcoat to hit a number just moves the cost to year three.
A densifier might be the whole answer
If the real problem is a slab that dusts, a lithium densifier at $1.50-$3 per square foot solves it with no film at all. On a warehouse floor that can be a fifth the cost of a coating. We say so when it applies.
Payment. FAQ
Do you offer in-house financing?
No. We are a small contractor and running a credit product properly is a different business than coating floors. What we do instead is structure payment so you are never paying for work that has not happened, and we are honest that a home line of credit will almost always beat any contractor-arranged financing on rate.
How much deposit do you take?
A deposit covering materials, which are ordered specifically to your colour and system and cannot be returned. The balance is due on completion after you have walked the floor with us. We never ask for payment in full up front, any contractor who does is a red flag regardless of the trade.
What payment methods do you accept?
E-transfer, cheque and cash for residential work. Commercial and contract work is invoiced on net terms with a purchase order. Credit card payment is available on request; card processing fees are passed through at cost rather than marked up.
Can a commercial project be billed in stages?
Yes. Multi-zone and phased commercial projects are billed progressively against completed zones, which keeps your cash flow aligned with the work and gives you a natural checkpoint between phases. Terms go in the contract before we start.
Is there a discount for paying cash?
No, and be wary of contractors offering one. A cash discount in this trade usually means no written contract, no invoice, no warranty paper and no recourse, which is worth far more than the discount if anything goes wrong.
Can I do the work in phases to spread the cost?
Often, yes, and it is a genuinely good option. Coating a garage now and the basement next year costs slightly more per square foot than doing both at once, because of mobilisation. But it is a real way to spread cost without paying interest, and we will price both scenarios so you can compare them properly.

Tell us the budget up front and we will tell you honestly what it buys, including when the answer is “wait and do it properly”.
