Can you coat a floor without closing the business?

What fits in one overnight window

Roughly 1,000-1,500 square feet of straightforward coating on a sound slab, using fast-cure product. That covers a small retail floor, a single kitchen zone or a section of warehouse aisle. Demolition, heavy repair or moisture mitigation will not fit and needs a longer window.

Phasing larger floors

The space is divided into zones with the transitions falling on saw-cuts or natural breaks so no seam shows in the finished floor. One zone per night, with the completed area returned to service each morning. It stretches the calendar duration but the business never closes.

Odour and occupied buildings

100% solids epoxy is nearly odourless. Polyaspartic has a noticeable solvent smell during application that dissipates within a few hours with ventilation. For occupied buildings we use low-odour formulations, ventilate actively, and schedule so the space has clear air before staff or customers return.

What to plan on your side

Equipment relocation, access and keys, someone reachable overnight, and a realistic decision about what genuinely has to stay in place. The single biggest cause of a phased job slipping is arriving to find the zone not cleared.
