A showroom floor that supports the space.
Compare polished concrete and resin finishes for a retail or showroom floor. Balance appearance, daily cleaning, foot traffic and installation access before choosing the surface.
Discuss your project
What the specification needs to solve.
See a sample in your light
Colour and sheen change with lighting and viewing angle. Review a physical sample or test area under the lighting used in the finished space.
Plan for everyday maintenance
Discuss entry matting, cleaning equipment, rolling displays and scuff visibility. A high-gloss appearance may need a different maintenance routine from a satin finish.
Account for the existing slab
Polishing can reveal patches and aggregate variation. Coatings also need a sound, prepared substrate; neither option should be chosen from a rendering alone.
Compare the starting options.
| System | Where it fits | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Polished concrete | An exposed concrete finish for suitable slabs and dry areas. | Existing patches and variations may remain visible. Test an area first. |
| Metallic epoxy | A decorative resin finish with variation in the applied pattern. | Approve a sample and confirm the desired sheen, traction and maintenance. |
| Commercial epoxy | A specified resin system for the traffic and exposure in each zone. | Repair depth, moisture treatment and chemical exposure change the build. |
For initial budgeting, see the indicative price guide. Area, repairs, existing coating removal, moisture, access and travel affect the final quote.
Plan the return to work.
Fit the work around deliveries, display installation and opening dates. A phased floor needs agreed visual transition lines as well as safe access. Confirm when furniture and wheeled displays can return.

Floor area, slab photos, desired appearance, lighting, entry traffic, display loads, opening date and the dates available for installation.
Photos can start the conversation. They do not replace moisture testing or an on-site assessment.
A quote you can compare.
Confirm these details in the written proposal so price, access and expectations refer to the same scope.
